Consent to the processing of personal data

Service status
The service is in beta: individual features may be unavailable, may not work correctly, and may change or be switched off. Otherwise the service is provided "as is", without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation. This does not extend to paid access to quests: for that the Platform is answerable under section 11 of the Offer, and the beta disclaimer does not override it.
Glossary of abbreviations
- PD — personal data.
- TLS — Transport Layer Security.
- AI — Artificial Intelligence.
1. CONSENT TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
1.1. Basic consent to the processing of personal data
Age confirmation: On registration the User ticks the statement "I am 18 or older and I consent to the processing of personal data", thereby confirming that they are aged 18 or over. The Platform is not intended for persons under 18.
On registering and uploading content, the User consents to the Privacy Policy and the Offer by an act in electronic form — ticking a field and pressing a button. The legal grounds for consent under the law of particular countries are set out in section 16 of the Privacy Policy.
1.2. Consent to public use of the profile photo
On registration the user consents to their profile photo being displayed publicly in the following parts of the Platform:
- the progress leaderboard
- course participant lists
- public pages of authors and content creators
- the user's activity history
- the guild leaderboard
- guild member lists
Lesson comments are switched off — profile photos are not displayed there.
The User understands and agrees that their profile photo will be publicly available to other Platform users in the sections listed above.
Limits on use: the profile photo is NOT used in advertising materials, is not transferred to third parties and is not used for commercial purposes outside the Platform’s functionality.
The User may remove the profile photo from public display at any time (a default avatar will be shown instead).
Consent is recorded in the database together with:
- the date and time of consent;
- the user’s IP address;
- browser and device information (User Agent).
1.3. Consent to cross-border transfer to AI services
Before the AI assistant is used for the first time, the user is shown a separate dialog with detailed information about the transfer of data to the following AI providers (all in the USA):
- OpenAI Inc. — generation of educational content and answers to questions
- OpenRouter Inc. — an aggregator of AI models (DeepSeek, Qwen and others) for generating learning content
- Google LLC (Gemini) — additional content-generation tasks
The AI assistant can only be used after consent is actively confirmed by ticking a dedicated box and pressing “Accept”.
Consent is recorded in the database in the same way as in clause 1.2.
1.4. Consent to the use of cookies
On the first visit to the site the user is shown a banner with information about cookies. By continuing to use the site and pressing “Accept”, the user consents to the use of cookies.
For signed-in users the consent is also recorded in the database.
1.5. Consent to the transfer of data to Telegram
Signing in through Telegram constitutes consent to Telegram passing the Platform your account data: your ID, first name, last name, username and profile photo. Telegram does not pass on your phone number or password. The consent is recorded in the database at the moment of first sign-in, in the same way as under clause 1.2.
For pilot participants, the following is also transferred: membership of school chats, submitted work, ratings given and curators' decisions. Without this the participant cabinet and the schools do not work.
The recipient is Telegram FZ-LLC (United Arab Emirates) and affiliated Telegram group companies. Telegram processes this data under its own privacy policy, which the Platform cannot influence.
You can do without Telegram by registering with an e-mail address. The participant cabinet and quest purchases are then unavailable — they exist only inside Telegram.
1.6. Withdrawing consent
The User may withdraw any of the consents:
- Basic consent — by deleting the account via the profile, or by a request to: [email protected]
- Consent to a public photo — remove the photo from public display in the profile settings. The account remains active
- Consent to AI services — via the “Manage consents” section of the profile. After withdrawal the AI assistant becomes unavailable
- Consent to cookies — delete or block cookies in your browser settings. The Platform uses no third-party trackers, so there is nothing to switch off in your profile; the essential cookies are needed for sign-in and the site does not work without them
- Consent to transfers to Telegram — delete your account or switch to signing in by e-mail. Messages the bot has already sent to Telegram cannot be deleted by the Platform
Quest payment records and pilot events — submissions, acceptances and ratings given — are not deleted when consent is withdrawn or an account is deleted: the former are retained under accounting law, the latter are needed to calculate other participants' levels. See section 8 of the Privacy Policy.
The Operator processes a withdrawal request within 30 calendar days.
2. HOW CONSENT IS OBTAINED
2.1. On initial registration with the Platform the user gives consent to the processing of personal data in one of the following ways:
- On completing the registration form: by ticking the field "I agree to the privacy policy", which links to the Policy, and the field "I am 18 or older and I consent to the processing of personal data", which links to this Consent. Signing in through Telegram requires the same two fields to be ticked.
2.2. Consent is deemed obtained from the moment those actions are performed. Continued use of the Platform confirms that the consent remains in force.
2.3. The User has the right to withdraw consent by sending a request to: [email protected]. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the Operator received it.
